Professional Review

How many returns can I have reviewed?

You can have one federal return reviewed for the review fee. You can have any additional federal returns (for a different taxpayer) reviewed, but you will be charged a separate review fee for each additional return.

What’s the difference between the Professional Review and Ask a Tax Advisor?

If you have a tricky or complicated question about your return, Ask a Tax Advisor can help. You can use Ask a Tax Advisor anytime while completing your tax return, even if you're filing after the deadline.

Once you've completed your tax return, if you're looking for a little extra peace of mind, the H&R Block Professional Review is for you. We recommend using the Professional Review only after you've completed your return so that the Tax Professionals will have all the information they need in answering any final questions, making sure there are no inconsistencies, and seeing that you're claiming all of the tax breaks you deserve based on your current situation.

We recommend that you transmit your return by April 7th. This should leave enough time for the Tax Professional to review your return and send recommendations back to you. You then could make any necessary changes and submit your return to the IRS by the April 15 deadline.
