The H&R Block tax software Error Check reviews your return for any overridden entries. Use this feature to list your overridden entries and to locate and go to an entry if you want to make any changes.
You are required to run Error Check when you complete the federal or state Interview. You can also run the Error Check process at anytime by selecting Error Check from the Tools menu.
Open the Error Check window and select the Federal tab or state tab (for example, New York).
Note: The program displays a state tab only if you have started a tax return for that state.
Click the Show List button in the lower right hand corner of the Error Check window.
Scroll down to the Data Verification section and check the list for instances of overridden entries.
To go to the entry, click the Go to button. The form displays in the bottom pane of the Error Check window and automatically places the cursor in the overridden field.
To display the whole form, click the Whole Form button. To return to the warnings list click the Hide Form arrow at the top of the form.
