When you restore a tax return file from your MobileMe iDisk, a date/time stamp is added to the end of the file name. If you have chosen to password protect your backed up files, and you have not selected the Remember password option, the H&R Block software prompts you to enter your password before restoring the files.
Go to the H&R Block menu and select Preferences.
Click the Backup icon on the Preferences dialog box.
In the section labeled Restore a Previous Backup From...click the My iDisk button. If you set up a password and did not choose the Remember password option, the program prompts you to enter your password.
Enter your password. The H&R Block software searches your iDisk for backups and displays all your current year's backed up tax return files.
Click on the file you want to restore and click the Restore Selection button. The program restores your file to the default HRBlock folder.
If you want to restore the file to a different location, click on the Restore to an alternate location check box. The program opens the Choose Location dialog box.
Select the location and click Choose.
Go to the H&R Block menu and select Preferences.
Click the Backup icon on the Preferences dialog box.
In the section labeled Restore a Previous Backup From...click the Other User's iDisk button. The tax software opens the Connect to iDisk dialog box.
Enter the MobileMe member name and password of the iDisk you would like to restore from.
Click the Connect button. The program searches the other user's iDisk for backups and displays all the current year's backed up tax return files.
Click on the file you want to restore and click the Restore Selection button. The program restores your file to the default HRBlock folder.
If you want to restore the file to a different location, click on the Restore to an alternate location check box. The program opens the Choose Location dialog box.
Select the location and click Choose.
