The H&R Block software includes an AutoSave feature that automatically saves your tax return for you. AutoSave runs in the background at a time interval set by you. The default time interval is set to 10 minutes, but you can set the interval to any time between 1 and 15 minutes.
You can also choose to disable the AutoSave feature completely, although we don't recommend doing this.
From the File menu, choose AutoSave. The Set AutoSave Interval dialog box opens.
Click the arrow next to the "Automatically save every......minutes" drop down list box and select an interval between 1 and 15 minutes.
Click OK.
From the File menu, choose AutoSave.
Click the check box next to Disable AutoSave. A checkmark displays in the box.
Click OK.
Note: In order to activate this feature, you must save your tax return file at least once. You can save your return by selecting Save from the File menu. If you haven't saved your return by the time you complete at least one topic in the Interview process, the program will prompt you to save it.
