Changing Proxy Server Connections

If you use a proxy server to connect to the internet, you may need to change the settings for the server. Note: Changing these settings will only affect the tax software.  No other programs will be affected.  We recommend that you check with your Network Administrator before making any changes to the proxy settings on your computer.

To change proxy server settings:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Proxy Settings. The Proxy Server Settings dialog box displays. Your system proxy settings are shown beneath the option "Use system settings". If these fields are blank, your system does not use proxy settings.

  2. Click the option "Use proxies from the program settings".

  3. Enter the new proxy server address and port settings for HTTP: (Web)

  4. Enter the new proxy server address and port settings for HTTPS: (Secure Web).

  5. Click OK to apply the settings and close the Proxy Server Settings dialog box.
