On the Entry Information tab, you can:

To override a calculated value:

  1. Click the Override this entry box; a checkmark appears.

  2. Enter a value in the field below.

  3. Click OK. The entry appears in red.

If you previously overrode this value, you can clear it here.

  1. Uncheck the Override this entry box by clicking in it. The value will be grayed out.

  2. Click OK. The entry will be deleted.

To mark an entry tentative:

You can also mark an entry Tentative. You can mark an entry as tentative to remind yourself to review or verify it later. For example, if you haven't received a W-2 form from your employer, you might want to enter your estimated income so that you can get a reasonable idea of what your taxes will be. This field's entry will be marked with an asterisk (*), however, marking the field as tentative does not affect the calculation of your taxes. The asterisk appears in the field that you've marked as tentative when you move the cursor out of the field.

  1. Click the Mark this entry tentative box. A checkmark appears.

  2. Click OK. An asterisk (*) appears in the tentative field.

To find all tentative fields in your tax return, click the Final Error Check button.
