When you file your return electronically or by paper, your return is reviewed for any problems, such as missing data or inconsistencies. If you are filing electronically, the program also tells you if your tax situation disqualifies you from electronic filing.
When problems are found, the H&R Block software groups the problems by form into errors and data verifications. You must correct all errors before you can file your return electronically. You don't need to clear all data verification messages. Some of these messages are just reminders.
Click the Fix Errors or Review Warnings button next to the problem. The program displays the error or data verification message. The form is also displayed and the cursor is placed in the field with the problem.
Correct the error.
Continue to go through each error and data verification message and make the necessary changes.
When you have finished reviewing all errors and data verifications, click the Close button.
