Filing Electronically

Electronic filing allows you to send your tax return as a specially formatted electronic data file to the IRS and state. Everything you need to prepare and file an electronic return is included in the H&R Block tax software.

You can check the status of your return within two to three days of transmitting it. We will send you an acknowledgment that your return was received and tell you if your return was accepted or rejected by the IRS or state. If it has been accepted, you may need to mail additional forms.
